What We
Believe
The statement of faith of Ministero Saron — an apostolic evangelical church in Palermo, Italy. These are the biblical foundations on which our community is built.
We believe in the Bible as the infallible Word of God, in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, in water baptism and in the Holy Spirit, in divine healing, in apostolic and prophetic ministry, and in the glorious return of Christ.
The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Bible — Old and New Testament — is the inspired Word of God, infallible and authoritative in every part. It is the supreme rule of faith and conduct for every believer and for the church.
One God in Three Persons
We believe in one eternal God, creator of heaven and earth, who reveals himself in three distinct Persons: the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The three Persons are co-eternal, co-equal and co-substantial.
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is true God and true man. He suffered, died on the cross for our sins, rose on the third day and ascended to heaven where he intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a free gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Every person who repents of their sins and confesses Jesus as Lord and Saviour receives the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
Water Baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion as an act of public obedience by believers, a symbol of death to sin and new life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:3-4). Baptism does not confer salvation but bears witness to it.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a distinct experience subsequent to conversion, with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4). The Holy Spirit equips believers with supernatural gifts for ministry and witness.
Divine Healing
We believe that physical healing is provided in the atonement of Christ (Isaiah 53:5) and is available to all believers today. We pray for the sick with the laying on of hands and anointing with oil according to James 5:14-15, believing that God still heals.
The Church
We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, composed of all true believers. The local church is the visible expression of this body and has the mandate to evangelise, make disciples, worship God and care for its members and community.
Apostolic and Prophetic Ministry
We believe that God has restored in today's church the five ministries of Ephesians 4:11: apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers. These ministries are necessary for the building up of the body of Christ, the maturity of believers and the fulfilment of the Great Commission.
The Return of Christ and the Resurrection
We believe in the personal, visible and glorious return of Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of the dead — the righteous to eternal life and the wicked to judgement. We live in the expectation and preparation of this event, which is the blessed hope of the church.
Missions
We believe that the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) is the central mandate of the church. Every believer is called to be a witness — in their own city, their own country and to the ends of the earth. Ministero Saron is committed to local missions in Palermo and Sicily, national outreach across Italy and international missions.
Questions about our faith
What kind of church is Ministero Saron?
Ministero Saron is an apostolic evangelical church based in Palermo, at Via Guglielmo Peralta 5. It is led by Apostle Eliseo Siino and Prof. Lina Siino. We are part of the apostolic-prophetic movement and believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit active today.
Does Ministero Saron practise baptism by immersion?
Yes. We believe in water baptism by immersion of believers as an act of public obedience to the Word of God, a symbol of death to sin and new life in Christ.
What does "apostolic" mean?
It means we believe in the five ministries of Ephesians 4:11 — apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers — as a permanent structure of the church of Christ, not limited to the first century. Apostle Eliseo Siino exercises the apostolic ministry of foundation and vision.
Do you pray for the sick at Ministero Saron?
Yes. We believe in divine healing provided in the atonement of Christ. In every service there is a time of prayer for the sick with the laying on of hands. We have witnessed many healings over the years.
